A recent post on the 'shtfplan.com' blog written by Mac Slavo entitled 'Plundering the American Dream:  College Students Demonstrate the Idiocy of Our Education System' was recently brought to my attention (thanks to F. Booth).  Check out the link; the read is worth a few minutes of your time.  An economics professor at Valencia College in Florida had his sophomore students write an essay on what the American dream means to them and what, specifically, they wanted the federal government to do to help them achieve that dream.
